Friday, August 21, 2009 at 8:00 AM - Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 4:00 PM (MT)
The purpose of this event is to not only recognize those Heroes located in Sheridan, Wyoming, but to recognize and support those located throughout the State of Wyoming, regionally in the Western United States as well as nationally. This event is designed to recognize the dedication and sacrifice of our Veterans, deployed members, their families and friends! Heroes may be located in Sheridan, Wyoming one day; then relocate to a Montgomery, Alabama the next…It is imperative we support all Heroes throughout our great Nation!
This three-day event will focus on various support agencies and resources available to assist our Veterans with such issues as: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), deployment, disabilities, financial aid and to the various VA and VSO organizations. In addition, we desire to have the citizens of the Western Rocky Mountain Region recognize the opportunities that exist to assist our Heroes who have sacrificed so much. There will be a number of fundraising events in support of our Heroes to raise financial support for three non-profit VSO’s and ultimately our Heroes: Time of Remembrance, Wyoming Family Readiness Groups and Hope4Heroes. The weekend will culminate in a Sunday Memorial Service, breakfast and “A Time of Remembrance” to remember and honor all of our Heroes and their families.

Hope4Heroes was founded by Veterans to support Veterans and families in the following program areas: Awareness in local communities, support chapters and volunteers nationwide, Emergency aid to families in crisis, Scholarships for the children of heroes, and partner relationships with Sister agencies to bring a full complement of resources to the table at all times. Read our support cycle here:
We serve all veterans from all generations and all conflicts! As of today, over 300,000 OIF/OEF vets suffer from the issues listed above, 3,000 are homeless, and vet unemployment is higher then the national average. Additionally, millions of veterans and families from all conflicts suffer from the issues listed and thousands of their children need our support through scholarships.
They gave all on the battle field and now, they need us in the board rooms and living rooms across the country. You can be a Hero to a Hero!
